Smoking not only harms physical health, but also hinders the creation of a good public environment in the workplace. The harm of second-hand smoke is even greater than imagined. As a core health industry under the parent company, Dahua Company has the responsibility and obligation to create a civilized working environment and showcase a healthy and positive corporate image to the outside world.

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of tobacco control activities, a profound tobacco control symposium was held for a group of "old smokers" in the company, led by the leadership team. Through democratic discussions, a series of smoking control measures have been formulated: firstly, the "Proposal on Smoking Control" has been posted to educate every employee of the company about the dangers of smoking and promote the concept of healthy living. The second is to establish smoking control areas and require employees to start from themselves. Smoking is not allowed within the smoking control area, and employees are required to consciously organize cigarette boxes, cigarette butts, and cigarette ash in the office area, effectively protecting employees from the harm of second-hand smoke. The third requirement is for department heads to play a leading supervisory role, carry out publicity and education work for external personnel and customers, and create a safe and civilized production and operation environment in the factory area.

After a period of tobacco control propaganda work, now the ashtrays and cigarette butts have been removed from the desks of Dahua Company, and there is no longer the odor of second-hand smoke in the office building. Smoking workers have made great efforts to create a smoke-free working environment through their own practical actions. Dahua Company will also continue to strengthen employee health education and tobacco control public opinion propaganda, achieving the goal of no cigarettes, no ashtrays, and no cigarette ash in the factory area.
